I am a Tehran-born artist currently based in London, where I channel my artistic exploration through the mediums of archive, video, and photography. My work centers around investigating and unveiling the underlying repressive structures that impact marginalized groups within society.

By challenging dominant narratives present within archival material, I aim to present alternative perspectives that capture the complexity of our contemporary experiences. Through my practice, I strive to bring to light the unheard and unseen experiences and stories, weaving them into the fabric of my artistic creations.

Within my work, I am particularly drawn to the intersections of public space, the human body, and the relationship between architecture, infrastructure, and the oppressive patriarchal structure. These themes are at the forefront of my artistic practice, as exemplified in my film "Manjil Winds," which was developed during my MA studies at Goldsmiths University in 2022.

"Manjil Winds" narrates the powerful and poignant story of my grandmother, depicting her experiences as a divorced mother in Iran during the 1960s. It encapsulates intimate moments that hold deep personal significance while resonating with larger societal themes.

Through my artistic endeavors, I aim to challenge existing power dynamics and provide a platform for unheard voices, offering a fresh perspective on social and cultural landscapes.
